How the simulator works
Points and the table
Every result you enter is worth three points for a win and one each for a draw. SimuScore adds those to the team's existing record, updates goals for and against, and re-sorts the table. If you overwrite a match that has already been played, the original result is removed first — so the table never counts the same fixture twice.
How ties are broken
League tables are ordered by points, then goal difference, then goals scored. The World Cup simulator uses FIFA's own procedure instead: teams level on points are separated by their head-to-head record first — points, then goal difference, then goals in the matches between them — before any overall figures are considered.
FIFA ranking points
The ranking calculator applies FIFA's Elo formula, Pafter = Pbefore + I × (W − We). I is the match importance (10 for a friendly outside a window, up to 60 for a World Cup knockout tie), W is the actual result and We the result expected from the two teams' current points. Margin of victory is not part of the formula — winning 5–0 earns the same as winning 1–0.
What it can't do
This is a scenario tool, not a forecast. It doesn't model injuries, form, fixture congestion or squad rotation, and it applies no probability to the scores you choose — the table you get is the arithmetic consequence of your inputs, nothing more. Point deductions and administrative sanctions are not applied automatically. It is built for arguments and analysis, not for betting.

Understanding Football Data on SimuScore
New to standings, simulations, or how league tables move after every result? This short guide explains how SimuScore turns match data into the tables and rankings you see across the site.
What is SimuScore?
SimuScore is a football data portal and scenario hub. It collects fixtures, results, and standings from major competitions, presents the latest FIFA World Ranking, and adds a match simulator on top so you can test ideas instead of only reading numbers. Everything is free and works without an account.
How the Match Simulator Works
Open the simulator, choose a competition, and you will see its current table alongside the remaining fixtures. Type a score for any match and SimuScore immediately recalculates the standings: three points for a win, one for a draw, and goal difference and goals scored applied as tiebreakers. If you change the result of a match that has already finished, the original result is removed first so the projection stays consistent. Nothing you enter is saved or shared — it is your private sandbox for exploring outcomes.
Football Standings Explained
A league table ranks teams by points. Each row shows matches played (P), wins (W), draws (D), losses (L), goals for and against, goal difference (GD), and total points (Pts). When two teams are level on points, competitions use tiebreakers — most commonly goal difference, then goals scored, and sometimes head-to-head record. Coloured zones at the top and bottom of a table mark qualification places (such as the Champions League) and relegation. You can see live tables on the home Standings tab and full versions on each competition page.
Why League Tables Change After Every Result
Because points and goal difference both update with every match, a single result can move several teams at once. A win lifts one team above a rival on points; a high-scoring draw can change goal difference enough to swap two teams that are otherwise level. That is exactly what the simulator lets you preview: enter a plausible weekend of results and watch how the order shifts before the matches are even played.
